Founding Teaching Elder/Pastor
Rev. Dr. Cannada was the Founding Pastor of Karawaci Presbyterian Church, Advisor to the Pelita Harapan Educational Foundation (YPPH), and Chancellor Emeritus of Reformed Theological Seminary. He completed his post‑graduate studies at RTS receiving the degrees of Master of Divinity in 1973 and Doctor of Ministry in 1995. Ric now serves as an Advisor to Dr. Ligon Duncan, current Chancellor of RTS, to support him and RTS in a variety of project areas, and he is also a Pastor Emeritus of Christ Chapel Karawaci. Dr. Cannada and his wife, Rachel, are proud parents of two children and blessed grandparents of seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Synod Moderator & Teaching Elder/Pastor
Rev. Dr. Yohanes Halim is the Senior Pastor of Christ Chapel Karawaci. He and his wife, Agnes, have three children—Jason, Jadon, and Jaren. He has served in youth and young adult ministry since 1990 and in couples’ ministry since 2005. He earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Institut Teknologi Bandung (1995) and a Master of Management in Finance and Banking from Universitas Indonesia (1999). He completed a Master of Divinity (2016), a Master of Arts in Theological Studies (2017), and a Doctor of Ministry (2026) at Reformed Theological Seminary Orlando. His MATS was an advanced post–M.Div. study in Systematic Theology under Dr. Scott R. Swain and Dr. R. Michael Allen, and his doctoral work with a focus on Reformed Expository Preaching was completed under Dr. Richard P. Belcher. After 20 years in banking and finance (1994–2013), he served as Associate Pastor at Karawaci Presbyterian Church (2017–2021), was ordained as a Teaching Elder in 2018, and has served at Christ Chapel Karawaci since October 2021. He has also served as Moderator of the Presbytery since 2024.
Synod Stated Clerk & Teaching Elder/Pastor
Rev. Williem Ferdinandus is the Pastor of Christ Chapel Manado, dedicating his life to full time-ministry since 2009. He earned his Bachelor of Theology degree from STT Amanat Agung in Jakarta and served in faithfully in the city from 2015 to 2021. In 2022, he was ordained as a Pastor at Christ Chapel Manado, where he has been ministering ever since. He shares his life and ministry with his wife, Michele Turalaki, as they continue to serve together in faith.
Teaching Elder/Pastor
Rev. Fery Pasang is the Pastor of Christ Chapel Kupang. He is married to Henawati Tobing with three daughters: Febe, Francis, and Aida. Before church planting ministry in Kupang, he taught Theology at Pelita Harapan University, Karawaci (2016-2022), joined OMF International to pioneer a Student Movement called Sonoko, part of IFES (2007-2016), as Perkantas Indonesia (Inter-Varsity) Staff Worker in Bandung and Samarinda (2000-2006), and taught Theology for Church Minister in interior Papua (1998-2000). He holds a B.Th and M.A. in Theological Studies from Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Bandung. In June 2022, he was ordained as a Teaching Elder at Karawaci Presbyterian Church and installed at Christ Chapel Kupang as an organizing Pastor-Evangelist.
Teaching Elder/Pastor
Rev. Deddy Riangga Simanjuntak serves as a Pastor at Moriah Ministry, Christ Chapel Karawaci. He is joyfully married to Desta Sinaga. He studied at the University of Indonesia (MD), Johns Hopkins University (MPH), and Reformed Theological Seminary (MDiv). Before entering full-time ministry with the church, he worked as a rural doctor in Papua and as a health program manager in Mongolia. Rev. Deddy was ordained as a pastor in 2025 at Christ Chapel Karawaci and will be sent to Papua to plant Christ Chapel Sentani, continuing to serve God’s kingdom in Papua, Indonesia.
Advisor & Teaching Elder/Pastor
Rev. Dr. Ron Scates was an Interim Senior Pastor at Karawaci Presbyterian Church, and now an honorably Retired Pastor of the Evangelical Covenant Order of Presbyterians. He is married to Anne and have five children, Katie, Anna, Andrew, Michael, and Emily. His academic journey includes a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine from Trinity University, a Master’s degree in Cell Biology from Trinity University, and a Doctor of Ministry from Union Theological Seminary, Richmond, Virginia. Rev. Scates was ordained in October of 1979 by the Presbytery del Salvador of the Presbyterian Church in the United States at the First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio.
Teaching Elder/Pastor
Rev. Arif Philip Hidajat is the Teaching Elder at Christ Chapel Bogor & Sentul, where he has been serving since he planted the church in 2023. He is happily married to Amy Hidajat. Arif’s academic background includes a B.A. in Economics from Calvin College, an M.A. in Economics from Michigan State University, an M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary, and an Th.M. from Westminster Theological Seminary. His professional journey spans a variety of roles, starting with his work as a Program Manager from 2005 to 2009, followed by a teaching career from 2009 to 2013. Arif then pursued his calling in ministry, serving as Pastoral Intern at Covenant Presbyterian Church (2013-2016) and Northeast Community Church (2016-2021). With his deep commitment to the Gospel, he now leads and nurtures the growing community at Christ Chapel Bogor & Sentul.
Teaching Elder/Pastor
Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Spanogle serves as an Associate Pastor of Karawaci Presbyterian Church, a role he began after being ordained by GPRII in April 2026. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Grove City College, a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Mississippi, a Master of Divinity in Missions from Reformed Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Theological Studies with a focus on the Old Testament from Trinity International University. His extensive ministry experience includes five years in youth ministry at Grove City Alliance Church, outreach leadership at The Way Cafe in Yazoo City, Mississippi, and youth directorship at First Presbyterian Church of Yazoo City. Since 2024, he has also served as the Spiritual Life Coordinator at SPH. Jeff is blessed with the support of his wife, Heather, and their four children: Lydia, Elias, Titus, and Caleb.

Alexander Kevin is a licentiate serving at Christ Chapel Palembang and Christ Community Cikarang. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Agriculture from Universitas Pelita Harapan and a Master of Theology from Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Reformed Indonesia (STTRI).
